We’ve all been there right? We’ve had that feeling that we really should do something, over and over again we get that call to act. But we don’t. The effort is too great, at least that’s the story we tell.
You know it don’t you? The feeling of not being honest with yourself, of trying to force yourself in or out of something because of we think we need to but really, we know we need to take the other path.
Have you ever had to come face to face with it all and finally see where you’ve been hiding, not showing up and playing small? Maybe your time is coming, but mine has arrived.
All year I’ve been beating around this excuse and that excuse, showing up half way, like when I launched my coaching practice Transformaven. I put it out on my social media then nothing. Do you ever get glimpses of what could happen if only and proceeding to turn back toward the comfort and mundane disguising it as self-care and love. Every now and then I’d get a nudge and brush it off. Then came this moon.
Looking up over these past days (December 12th 2019) you may have been blessed with a vision of the most magnificent moon. It’s been bright and fierce and in looking up I went from feeling small to feeling it was all inside me.
If you’ve been watching any of my Facebook Lives you would have seen me say out loud that it was time to get moving, that I could feel something coming, could feel this rumble inside of me ready to pounce. I needed to light the way and I’d been stalling.
But the moon doesn’t wait. It holds steady in its path, crescent after crescent it waxes and weans, marking each night with its presence and all we have to do is look up. Look way up out of the little selves we think we are and call upon the stars that made us to keep us moving in the direction of our destiny.
I was taught not to believe too much of myself but the moon light reflects upon my face and I am asked to shine regardless of the phase I am in. When I feel illuminated like when the moon reflects the sun. Or when I retreat into self-reflection, as a new moon does when it just disappears in the sky, back into the empty void all the possibilities that are out there just waiting for me to show up on my path and deliver my offerings.
The light of this full moon reached into some of my favourite hiding spots, I could see me there, holding out, waiting to be seen and trying to shy away again from what I knew I must do. It’s hard to argue with this giant force in the sky.
Did you feel it? Is the universe illuminating your pathway?
Look up, way up and ask yourself if you are ready to be seen. I am.
