Do no harm.
The easy part in staying home.
As a TCM practitioner I made a vow to be of service. To help my fellow humans and do no harm. Staying home is the best I can do right now, because of COVID-19 it’s the best we all can do to take best care of ourselves and each other.
These past 3 years I have become very used to being alone and not doing too much socially, so this self-isolation thing is not that bad for me. Though I know many other struggle in this department. I may be able to help. From a distance.
For me, it’s not being able to be there for my patients that has been the most difficult. Yes, it’s my job and like so many of us we are unable to work right now, so it’s stressful to think about the coming months ahead financially. Even though, there is hope that we will not be forgotten as small business owners and I am not in this alone.
For over ten years though, I have been there. I have had a mission almost every day to show up in clinic and serve my patients/clients. To look them in the eye, to hear them, to help them listen to what their own body was saying, to diagnose, treat them and to coach them to live into their wellness goals.
Right now I know many of my patients are really feeling stress; their anxiety, insomnia, headaches, stomach aches and body pains are all acting up.
But like them I have been asked by my government to stay home. And so I am looking for alternatives to help my patients to stay well and feel cared for. This technological age, it isn’t that hard. However nothing can replace the in person experience, it’s what we do for now.
Do no harm.
& again this meditation to help you through.
